Welch, Spring & Co., for D. J. GALE, "Round Drop No. 2", Astronomical calendar clock, 8-day time and strike, original painted dial showing patent date of Feb 1871, c1875
CONDITION:
the case of this clock was refinished around 1970, and there is no graining, finish now with crazing. Approximately medium molasses in color. Only a third or so of label remains, torn and difficult to read. Otherwise it retains a super original dial, hands and pendulum. This clock has been hanging for the last 40 years in one place (I took it off the wall), and the movement is a bit dry and needs oiling. 12 inch dial.
